Project manager tried to threaten me with instant termination. I UNO-reversed him instead.

For context, I've been working (under contract) in a Korean JV in construction. Project was delayed due to covid, and we are currently dealing with the last spurt before the handover stage for the project. The whole organization chart was revamped last November, and the new management that came in hasn't been employee-centric. A few months back, I have arranged for the delivery of some materials with a subcontractor, and the subcontractor sourced the materials from China. Due to the delayed departure of the shipment, we do not have the ETA of said materials up until now. Between the arrangement and this incident, I have personally followed up with the subcontractor, as well as alerted my superior that the shipment was late, so he personally followed up with the subcontractor as well.

And this was on a multitude of occasions prior to the incident.

Fast forward to last month, I requested from my superior to extend my contract, else I would have to find a new job within the month. Long story short, he didn't take any actions and I resigned by the end of the month, so I'm currently serving my notice. Also according to govt law, employees cannot be terminated unjustly, and would have to serve 1 month's notice from their tendered date.

Now, my superior did not alert the project manager regarding the delay in shipment, nor was he informed of my resignation. So when the project manager hosted a meeting with me, my superior, and the subcontractor on Monday, he was furious when the subcontractor said that they couldn't deliver the materials (still stuck somewhere on the sea) before our handover date.

The project manager was furious, he called me a bunch of names, and he specifically said “I want you terminated this instant!” Little did he know he's just firing blanks when I told him that I had already resigned the week before, and I'm only going to see him for 3 more weeks anyway, and if he doesn't want me to show up any longer, just pass me an email saying that I'm relieved of all my duties & give me my notice pay.

Meeting went from bullet hell to crickets that instant. And I'm still coming to work daily to finish off what I'm dutied to do. Project manager has nothing on me, and he can't force me to do anything that's not in my job scope now.
