So I work in a large warehouse for a global grocery company. We have rolled out a new software to run all Warehouse Operations. It's been live for 2 weeks and has been a complete disaster. Forced 12 hour shifts for everyone, Missing pallets, stores not receiving products, and injuries due to the warehouse being too crowded as the brought people in from other warehouses nationally to help with the rollout and learn the new system.
Anyway, they created a 7 new positions as “leads” which is under Supervisiors and Managers. I applied and got one of the roles. I think the upper management created these roles so that when shit went wrong, which they knew it would, all the unprepareness and losses could be blamed on us. We are all in “training” but know one really knows how to operate the new system. We were all scheduled for training for a full month, but have been thrown into the front lines because none of these Supervisiors or Managers know what they are doing or how to fix these issues.
Should I contact HR and let them know the situation so that when the company starts rolling head in a month or 2 when they can no longer justify the warehouse operating in major red and bleeding money?
I'm very concerned we will be blamed and eventually fired as we are being “set up to fail”.
Any advice would be helpful.
