I sent my boss a request for only 2 days off 2 weeks and a few days prior to that date and I have all my days still and some rolled over. After the initial notification, I sent a direct email and then a gchat. Other colleagues got their time approved in the mean time and mine was left pending.
Safe to say I am looking for a new job. Call it petty or call it whatever you want but I made plans, spent money for reservations, luckily purchased travel insurance. I always try to be there for my colleagues but nope. That was it for me.
