Question about possible legal action

I work in Kentucky, and today I was woken up to a call from my boss saying that they where terminating me over some missed days and a complaint registered against me. The days missed where due to winter weather, I live out in the country and they do not service the roads as regularly out here so during a 3 day winter storm the roads where unsafe to drive upon, and an additional one later when a surprise ice shower came through and did much the same. The complaint though was one registered against me because of the actions of another worker at the workplace. I show up to work and the person working there tells me they had someone waiting to be picked up who was waiting there for 9 minutes which is something that your not supposed to do. The days missed where due to winter weather, I live out in the country and they do not service the roads as regularly out here so during a 3 day winter storm the roads where unsafe to drive upon, and an additional one later when a surprise ice shower came through and did much the same. The complaint though was one registered against me because of the actions of another worker at the workplace. I show up to work and the person working there tells me they had someone waiting to be picked up who was waiting there for 9 minutes which is something that your not supposed to do. I sat down ate the food i brought quickly and dashed out to get them resulting in the person waiting for about 20 minutes to be picked up. I talked with the gentleman and told him what had happened with the last shift and apologized to him for the inconvenience. He turned around and filed a report about the situation apparently painting me to be rude, I will admit to being brusk at times but I just wanted to tell him what happened and apologize. To my knowledge this is the only complaint on my person at this workplace. While I do strongly believe I was unjustly terminated I do not know if I have the ability to reach out to the labor board for assistance or not.
