So I’m an intern who wants full time at the company. I was assigned a project with another intern. But she…. She likes to get things done fast and do a lot more work.
Like for example, we have to label 1000 images each. The manager and other supervisors told us to take our time because there are too many images. The intern I’m working with wants to do this in 2 DAYS!!!! It’s possible but jeez….
Also, when we were setting up our computers, she wanted it done super fast which I get. The other coworkers were gone on a business trip and we were kind of stranded. But she just had to figure out a way to set up the computers even though me and other interns were trying to do other stuff (networking, learning about company etc). Also, it hasn’t even been 2 weeks since we started.
Now that I’m working on this project, it doesn’t feel like a group project. I don’t feel the team effort. I want to tell her to slow down but she’s too focused on this project and nothing else. She’s already going all in.
I want to do this project, network, socialize with my potential coworkers, and attend company events (these were the things we were adviced to do by everyone at the company). I feel like her doing so much will make me look incompetent and bad.
I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
