I over heard my manager this morning talking on the phone about next weeks shift and that they were asking people to come in on their days off. I have Wednesday and Thursday off next week. So I remembered a text my wife sent me about cabin rentals at the state park a while back. So I called them and paid for the cabin rather than reserve it. No longer than two minutes after my confirmation receipt was emailed, I was asked to work. And smiled and told them I was surprising my wife with a get away and proceeded to show her the receipt. The look on her face when she seen the date of purchase was almost as good as my wife's face when I got home and told her of our camping trip next week. Not going to lie.
