Can I send a respectful message over text? I don’t even think my boss deserves 2 week tbh
My manager keeps scheduling me one day per week (and only on weekends). But then she will try to call me in (last minute) 7 days per week. She says “someone called out, you need to come in now from 3pm – 11pm”. Literally EVERY DAY.
Even if someone doesn’t call out and they just need extra help she expects ME to drop everything and just come in. Like I’m on call 7 days a week.
I said yes three times last week and no twice. A couple managers were ignoring me when I came in and only acknowledging my coworkers existence as a form of “punishment” for me not coming in and taking hours to respond to this text.
I think this behavior is very petty. You know I want fewer hours, you keep saying “we don’t have enough hours for everyone”….so how am I not the perfect employee? I never call out, I will do every single weekend and holiday shift (which no other employee wants to do) and I never demand extra hours.
They tried to call me in EVERY day this week so far. When I’m not scheduled. So I started ignoring their texts entirely. I just muted them. A coworker texted me and said my boss was FURIOUS and talking shit about me.
This really annoys me. I have covered sooo many unscheduled and last minute shifts just to be a “team player”. My boss told me if I did every single weekend and holiday she would give me fewer shifts during the week….but then demands me to come in last minute every single weekday. How am I the bad guy here??? I said yes way more times than I said no.
Well since I ignore her texts since Monday and apparently she’s furious (and she already disliked me and would share my personal information with coworkers /complain about me all the time)….I don’t really feel like giving 2 weeks notice. This is a retail pharmacy job btw.
She might ask me to still work my scheduled weekend shift….which I don’t want to do. But literally no one else will cover it. And maybe she should have treated me with some more respect and she’d still have someone to work weekends and fill in occasionally. But she talks trash about me and her/another manager give me the silent treatment and ice me out at work like middle schoolers
