quitting my job was the best thing I’ve ever done

I have Crohn's disease and worked 40 hour weeks for over a year, I was a good solid worker, but when I asked to reduce my hours to help manage my mental health as well as my physical health the company refused , as they thought they would get less contracts. I tried multiple times to learn more, but the company ghosted me when I went above and beyond to find suitable courses that would work around my current skill set and the job.

They constantly put pressure on me to complete tasks which were usually done by 2+ people, not just one.
They never considered me and my health when dealing with me.

When I resigned they seemed happy to see me go, they didn't even try to keep me on, nor cared as to why I was leaving.

This company was supposedly a “family” and held their values high, when I started they wanted me to up skill.

On the other side of leaving I will never work for a company again, I'm going to focus on my own gardening business where I can operate around myself, and make enough money to get by without the stress around workplace politics

Although after leaving I thought that my body would get better, but I'm still feeling the aftereffects of my last month at that company, and I think this will last a while, the amount of tax my body took shows how little that company cared for me, I was just another number
