So, recently there is new PHD student under me (i'm a researcher in a rather prestigious uni), and i hate how my PI favors her just because she is from the same course as him. it's unfair for my other students who came in batch(es) before her.
and right now he added her into my project which is ending soon and it annoys the hell out of me because he created a weird atmosphere where I report to her what I have done for the project. I'm just avoiding her like the plague for these few months but he keeps pulling and PUSHING HER TO ME. i hate it i hate it i hate it. I dont want to spend time with her nor do i want to engage this new PHD student into any of my ongoing or upcoming projects.
she gives me an irritating vibe, like some leech out there trying to steal my trade secrets and i dont see how she is qualified to be entitled to what we have worked so hard for. like she just slips herself into all the hard work we have been putting in and trying to claim a piece of the pie too. he includes her in every project we worked our ass to get. I know I'm being petty but I'm only human and it is seriously unfair for my other students. my PI is not someone who i can directly talk to, because he always only stick to what he thinks is right, which 50% of the time isnt. but i mean come on who can be 100% right all the time?
right now all i'm doing is avoiding her, but idk how long this can work.
