For the past several months I've been using almost all job posting boards and looking and applying at nearly everything locally. I don't know if anyone has noticed that online postings aren't consistent in sending out info to proceed to interviews or rejections. I'm rather desperate for almost any job at this point.
as anyone else noticed that some posts just send out an automated thank you letter and don't follow up?
I've been politely reaching out to applications I've put out once a week or so asking if there is anything else they'd like from me that I can submit. its rare I get a response back, on the off chance I do, its usually something rather curt or rude along the lines of
“if you haven't heard from us we arent interested”
am i wrong in interpreting that as “quit bothering us we don't want to talk to you”?
like excuse me you put out a public post asking for applicants and you are upset that I'm following up? um…what?idk which is worst, hearing nothing getting a bunch of spam calls or being told to buggar off for wanting a job
