I work as an in home care aid for the elderly and disabled and make as much money (and this includes hazard pay) as fast food cooks. Don’t get me wrong, they do a difficult job but the things I do for my clients would fill an encyclopedia. Especially during covid when healthcare professionals are in such high demand. The overwhelming stress that comes with my job will probably kill me by age 50. I’m sorry for being so dark but this is my reality.
