Rejected based on personality test

I applied for a phone store sales associate position, I think it was $19/hr which is decent for my area. I have lots of experience in customer service and I get feedback often that I'm great with customers/regulars love me. (currently in fast food). I just got an email, they rejected me based off a silly personality quiz the application had me do. You know the usual “what should you do in this situation, A or B” and I did my best to give the most obvious answers. I don't understand why companies make their hiring process so automated. Not to sound like a boomer or anything lol but how could a company possibly find out my skills without a face to face or even over the phone human to human conversation? Why do they even bother with the quizzes when they must know that people fake answers?
