Rejected in less than 24 hours

I know this job market sucks but this last application right about put me over I was checking out my alma mater to see if they had any job postings or something to help me find a job and I noticed they had a job that I felt qualified for I had worked for the university as a student and got both my bachelor’s and masters from there The job wanted a bachelors and 7 years experience. I had 5 (plus my masters) I put the app in last night before 5 and when I checked my email before noon they had already rejected me Like how do you even vet a resume that quickly 🫠 I seriously feel hopeless in the market and every application my outlook gets worse and worse
