Remote position trying to push me into the office

I recently started a work from home position because like everyone else, I want to work from home. I was hired believing I could work 100% remote forever. My contract does state that if needed I have to return to the office, but we were all under the assumption that was just in their to cover their ass. I received an email today about everyone returning to the office on April 1st barring any “exceptional circumstances”. Anyone have any exceptional circumstances for me to give them so I can continue working from home? Unfortunately I do live local (around 45 min away) to their office. Feeling like I’m getting the rug pulled out from under me by this company. There’s no physical need for me to be in an office, I’m remote technical support.
