So I'm planning on quitting my job today. I work remotely so it would be via email on my work computer. I called in sick for the last 3 days while waiting for confirmation that I had gotten a new job. Well that job will be starting March 6 and I've been severely unhappy at this job since I started. I've only been with the company a year and it's a basic customer service job not relevant to my prior or future experience so I don't care about burning a bridge. What's the best way to word the email that I would send? I was thinking about saying that I would be quitting effective immediately due to medical reasons. Are there any better suggestions? I want this next week off so that I can shift my focus and prepare for my new job. I have to quit today as my next scheduled shift is Sunday and I don't want to have to make up another lie I'm ready to cut ties and move on.
