I was hired in April as a virtual assistant for Wing, and after two weeks of training I was assigned my first client – along with the knowledge that they had fired their initially assigned assistant on her first day. I worked roughly 2.5 weeks before giving my notice with Wing, specifically because of the daily emotional stress incurred from the client – more specifically, the young and obviously inexperienced CEO in charge of things (and ultimately, me.)
While I felt lucky that I wasn’t unfortunate enough to be hired directly by this person, I felt sorry for those who may next fall into her trap so I wrote a review of my experience with the client on Glassdoor. Not only was she somehow able to get the personal email address associated with my Glassdoor account to contact me threateningly twice via email, she was able to have the review removed entirely.
I find this beyond unfair, but really the only thing I was able to come up with in response was creating a Twitter account (@wisdnil) and posting a SS of the Glassdoor review with their company’s hashtag associated. She has been able to keep me off the tag’s top views though no matter what I do, because I have no likes/retweets/etc. as I have no followers/would never use that platform for any other reason.
Any real advice from the fantastic minds of this sub other than to stop being such a hater and just let it go? If this woman wasn’t so terrible, I might not have fought back at all, but GOD she is such a piece of work and her little trick just made me even angrier.
