I have a pretty cool job, it's weekdays, pays about $50K a year and I get to work with kids. Sometimes I have to straighten them out a bit when they get out of hand but luckily they usually fall into line pretty quickly. A lot of my time is spent in the car and people in the community generally look up to me so that's a nice perk too. I have had to work some weekends for training but that's ok it's me and the boys out in the hills shooting guns and shooting the shit for overtime pay so I don't complain too much.
The other day this unexpected situation happens where this guy runs into the school I work at and start shooting kids! People around were asking me to go in and do something about it. Now I don't know about you but it's dangerous to go into a building and try to confront somebody with a gun and a figurative axe to grind. Now everybody is on my case for putting myself first. My boss has my back but seriously my life isn't worth $50K a year. I signed up for the pension, not the life insurance. Should I just quit?
