Should I just keep riding this train?

I have a job that isn’t very busy. On most weeks I have an average of five hours of work total but I’m suppose to do 40. The rest of my time is just sitting around. I’m forced to come into the office 3 times a week and those days draaagg. I have to make it look like I am “busy” I also get paid decent money for not doing much. Here is my problem. I hate my boss. Here is my problem. I hate my boss. I only report to him they have the luxury of working at home and not coming in. They are a hot mess of a person. I feel like I’m on constant repeat. We go over projects and reports and then two weeks later they ask where the report is and why haven’t I asked him to go over it. They don’t remember what we did. I find myself having to follow up with emails after we discuss but then they can’t find the email and if I send it they flip out like I’m trying to prove something.
I only really talk to them through messenger at work and we have a webex once a week.
I can go on for days on all the other issues but who wants to read that. So do I keep riding this train ?
