A lot has happened over the past 7 months so I'll try to be brief.
Currently I'm working as a security guard at a hospital. I've been here for a year and a half working the night shift. Last July we get a new guy who's been a security guard for many years, just not at the same facility. He's twice my age, so I imagine he's not too keen on being corrected but if he does something wrong I gotta say something. One example of things I've had to say to him is “Don't invite nurses to sleep in your truck with you.” Within a month of being here he received several formal, written complaints. He's a notorious asshole. A few other guys I've worked with has told the boss about it too, but he is still here. The guy flipped his shit on me a few times, in front of the supervisor and she just walked away.
Then he starts spreading rumors about me being a drug addict and a drunk and things I tell them what he's doing and nothing happens. Then he finds out about the girl I'm dating and he starts harassing her. She's got less of a tolerance for that bullshit and chews him out. He cries to the boss about it…
In January I get scolded by the boss because “a few of the other guards Are saying that I'm hostile and difficult to work with” I try to remind him of all the shit the other guy was doing that he knew about and boss said that they were not real complaints.
So I get moved to another location and report the guy the boss and the supervisor to HR. We all get written up. Boss and supervisor, for being complacent during the whole thing. Him for being an asshole and I got written up for socializing with people too much. He was sent somewhere else, I'm back where I was, and a bunch of nurses thanked me, and I thought that was it.
A few days ago I was written up again for hanging out with some nurses at the nurses station. Boss said he saw it on the camera and I was being moved to another location. I tried explaining that it was because they asked me to in case a few patients got violent but he wouldn't listen.
So I put in some applications elsewhere and I want to report him for retaliation but idk
