Single coverage.

Currently working another eight hour shift by myself in a very busy department of a very popular local grocery store. We usually have three or four people working my department. One of my coworkers had today off, another had to leave early for an appointment, and one had her last day two weeks ago. Despite her giving two MONTHS notice and there being several current employees interested in switching to my department, store management has made no effort to fill the spot and is leaving my department manager and the rest of us in the dark. I'm doing absolutely everything I can to make the department not look terrible when I close, but all I ever hear the next day is how things weren't deep blocked and what else needed to get done. They honestly expect me to be able to do the job of three people for the pay…
