To get to the point, I'm one of the strongest performers in the office but also one of the quietest.
Some people in the office, I guess, took my quiet strong work ethic the wrong way and made fun how I talk, how I write, make my calls, etc.
I guess this made me much more introverted as I can tell this was an immature workplace from the get-go. I do not want to interact with people who induce company politics. Now, they complain that I don't talk much.
The problem is that they do not know me or talk to me, yet they still complain. I'm really sick of this negative energy and never really talk crap about co-workers. If there is something bothering me, I would straight up tell that co-worker what is wrong.
Also, its not only me that they complain about, its about other people they do not vibe with. I usually stick up for people if I don't feel like its right. Especially if people are trying their best in the workplace. I truly do not feel like its right but I've been in this job less than 2 years and do not want to tell senior people how to behave. (And lose my job)
I feel like letting my team lead know of where my mental heath lies because it really gets in my nerves to let these idiots run their mouth like that.
Also, context: these people are in good terms with management so not sure if my decision to tell them is right.
Should I let my management know?
