I was sick last night, was meant to work at 10-7 today. I called and my manager was fine with it she was like yea that’s fine no worries, bla bla bla.
I have severe anxiety and depression so this was a hard phone call to make in the first place. My manager then sends me a message saying I need a doctors note other wise I’m going to get a ‘strike’. This has made me very uncomfortable because I was only sick, I didn’t need to go to the doctors, I just needed to rest and get over my illness.
I’m on the search for a new job. I’m going to call my doctors and see if I can get a sick note for a week so I can sort my self out a little (im not in the best place head wise) and when I go back, if I get a strike, I get a strike, I’m going to try and let it not bother me, fingers crossed I can get a new job soon!
