Mini vent about a recent experience I had with a “talent acquisition specialist” at a major US retailer trying to establish itself in my country.
Had a phone screening interview that went well and ended with scheduling an interview with the hiring manager for the next day.
This so called “specialist” did not send the meeting invite. I followed up with a phone call and text and was told that “I’ll call you as soon as I can, there have been changes to the schedule”. No news for one week, I call again to follow up and am ghosted.
Why not just say we’re not going to proceed with you?
My country is notorious for failed US business expansions due to their misunderstanding of our consumer base.
Really not the smartest move to piss off your potential customers by jerking them around during the interview process.
Never spending a single dollar at this US retailer and I look forward to reading the news stories of yet another failed US business.
