Talking to the labor board..

So I was told I had a job, had training that next Monday, was stoked, spent over $100 on new clothing not only for the interview before hand but also work clothing like a business jacket, pants and shoes. Iv been in a streak of mental illness including anxiety and depression to where I have been put on medication. Anyhow, I do drug testing and background check, I do no illegal drugs, my background is squeaky clean so I figured I was good. Called since I hadn't heard anything and was told I no longer had the job, so calling the HR # and emailed twice, didn't hear back till over a month later. Was told a vague no reason as to why I wasn't being hired. To put more information into this, I worked at this job previously but had to leave due to medical condition, this is well…

To put more information into this, I worked at this job previously but had to leave due to medical condition, this is well documented with the company, but also is documented is me being transgender, there main location is in Texas and we all know how that's going for trans people.

Besides the trans thing though, do you think I would have a case with taking this to the labor board of California? I feel like they are at minimum discriminating against me for my medical condition, as I also was fired years ago despite having said medical condition (which I also think is illegal??)
