In the spirit of everyone talking about terrible gifts they’ve received from their employer….
My wife WAS a 2nd grade teacher. She went through the height of COVID and dealt with awful kids and even worse parents. The school district almost actively working against teachers when it came to discipline. When everything came back to in person learning (instead of virtual) and teacher’s appreciation day came around my wife went to her box where they had put the “gifts”. In the box she found a travel size pack of tissues and a single Hershey’s kiss. When she showed me, I laughed, genuinely thinking she was joking. Sadly no, that is what the school district felt like they had earned after working their asses of through COVID. I still can’t believe it.
