I told (not asked) my Principal that I’ll be leaving 2 hours early on a Tuesday to attend a dr appointment during the teacher week when we go back (no kids yet, week before they come back). Also I’m giving her 5 weeks notice. And the schedule for that week hasn’t even come out yet. She told me “That’s really not ideal”. I said I’m sorry to hear you feel that way, I’ll submit my leave form to the attendance secretary”
