I have noticed this has been happening a lot lately, and would just like to vent.
I recently left a job where the boss was scamming customers and employees out of money. I left for a customers business fixing diesel trucks and equipment.
When I originally applied, I was told I would be guided and taught by who he had as a technician.
After the first day, I am pretty much left alone. I do not have experience with diesel (only auto), no info on any machines, and the communication between drivers, me and the boss is very disorganized.
I have addressed this, to no avail. I have recently injured my eye, so I have been out this week.
This morning my boss asked me if my body work friends had made a quote, despite me mentioning monday I am injured and would be out until Thursday at least. I have texted him and my other superior about parts they needed source (no where in the area has or sells these parts). I have not received a text back, and my call has been ignored.
Am I justified to feel annoyed? I have had a shaky work history, but am a talented mechanic but often run into bosses like this who either expect extra work outside work hours, or do not listen when I put technical advice in.
As a side note, I recently learned that the previous mechanic left due to similar issues, or lack of support.
