I'm a teacher and it's almost the end of the school year. It's time for us to get our contracts for next year. Admin has been talking about how great the raise is and we'll be excited to see it and how happy they are that they were able to secure us one this big. It's one less planning period (had two this year, only one next year) and only a 2% raise. Less time to plan/grade for $1,000. At most school, you get twice that or more if you take on an extra class and give up a planning period.
So glad I had an interview already scheduled for today.
