Just have to share my story: So we got our annual raises and newer hires started complaining to the supervisor about how 3% is not fair. We always only get 1,2, or 3%.
But the boss and supervisor said maybe they can negotiate with payroll; like we can set personal goals for ourselves and if we reach quotas we can get a couple extra bucks.
Management started discussing how they want to keep people longer and maintain morale; tried to bounce ideas off me.
That sounds great the only thing I personally found funny is this is the same management that when I was having trouble with a coworker last month suggested I can demote myself if i want if I’m not happy
I applied to go back to school the day they said that shit to me. You want to know how to retain people? Maybe don’t insult an employee that’s been here the second longest and has done nothing but work hard for you by suggesting they demote themself?
