The new boss

I stretch periodically throughout the day, I'll let that be known now. So today my manager wanted to “talk” to me and starts off by saying what a hard worker I am and how I show up early and work right away, whatever. But then he asks if I want to be a shift lead. I tried to explain to him how I my work ethic is very very good. He says “ya I watched you for a week the whole shift does a lot of standing around talking and you should be working”

We work a minimum wage job. I'm making 15 something an hour. I tried to tell him if i wanted to bust my ass 24/7 I'd go work somewhere else and make way more.

This guy also has everyone else do his job and I don't think I've ever seen him do any actual work. Suggestions? Thinking of getting myself wrongly terminated because he's got a short fuse it seems.
