I had a coworker actually argue that we as Americans are somehow better off because we have less sick days, parental leave, and that 3 paid days for bereavement makes sense. That Europeans and others receiving all those extra benefits comes at a price and their quality of life isn’t as good as ours. This system works, these people are fucked. We do and accept so much stupid shit for no reason other than “rules”.
