My parents bought their house at 115 for the 99 and the 2000. I dated myself with that reference.
Anyway. They made maybe 100K between the 2 of them. I make decent money and my wife makes a decent wage as well. The housing Market now has doubled or tripled since then. Combined my wife and I make 40K more than my parents but the houses are still not affordable.
All my dad asks me about is savings and I'm like I have bills and shit too what savings? 95 percent of my check goes to someone else at this point for bills and necessities. It's ridiculous that people fail to see the contradiction in every argument they have to provide a living wage for everyone. 7 Trillion dollars in unpaid taxes across the country? It's not the middle or lower classes that aren't paying.
