Them vs. Us: Finished in 2006; Hugo and Tracy Powell built a 43,800sqft single family “home” in Oakville, Ontario. With operating costs exceeding $480,000 PER YEAR; they have been trying to sell it ever since.

They build homes/mansions/palaces for fun, while their workers can't pay rent. For reference: in 2006; $480K could PURCHASE a decently sized house IN FULL. It is on a 10 acre property right on the lake in the heart of Oakville. Hugo was the president of Labatt Brewing Company. We are definitely not paid enough. (i.e. the disparity between top and bottom pay is too great). There is lots of space available to build; it is unfortunately all reserved for rich people.
