It’s the government. They stole a national holiday unique to Denmark.
The Socialist Labour Party just went around the unions, and removed a national holiday as if it was nothing.
I know this sub is very US-centric, but take a look around. One of the best places in the world to be a working citizen, and this just happened.
For context, the danish model around national holidays state that the unions handle that, because it’s work related, but apparently not when it’s rich people’s fucking yacht money.
It’s officially happening tomorrow.
I’m not sure if any media outside danish media is talking about it, but, they should. Don’t know how easy it’ll be for you guys to do research though, I’m afraid.
