So I’ve started a new job and I am working alongside someone in my team who is a transgender.
As part of the introduction meeting I was asked for my pronouns with the rest of team, I told them I do not believe in stating pronouns and I am offended for being asked this because I am evidently a grown adult Man. This seems to have offended the transgender who is clearly a biological male identifying as a women with the She/her pronouns.
I received a call today from my manager suggesting I should be more inclusive.
I am really annoyed with the world man. why am I being told to believe in something I don’t believe in? I didn’t target him or say anything particularly offensive.
