I worked at Whole Foods for about 2 years but left on some questionable terms.
I wouldn't say bad, but I made a joke (about Whole Foods) while I was working that one of the upper managers did not like and we get into a verbal argument. Thought we were joking around but turned out he was angry.
Flash forward two months later and applying to 15 different retail jobs. It's the same old story.
They call me in. Look at my resume. Say they just need to run a background check and will call me when it's finished and hire me. Never get back to me. Won't return phone calls.
Is there any way to find out if they are saying negative things about me?
