thinking about quitting, would like your opinion.

There's a two part decision to my potentially quitting today, and I'd like to make sure I'm not overreacting. I needed a cash advance on my paychecks. We agreed to $200 total, and pay it back $50/paycheck until it's paid off. I get my paycheck today and it's $150 short. I talk to the manager who does the payroll and she told me to talk to the owner. The owner being the person who told me to talk to her if I see any payroll issues on the matter. I also have been getting scheduled 7 days a week and working by myself on all the busy days washing dishes. It's hard work by yourself, and if you don't move fast enough you may as well be running from a train you're more behind than you were just by showing up. Due to the always working and no time off…

There's a two part decision to my potentially quitting today, and I'd like to make sure I'm not overreacting.

Due to the always working and no time off schedule I got sick and my wife took me to the hospital. They said I have a URI, gave me meds and told me to stay home for a bit.

Yesterday was my first day back in 3 days and I knew pretty quickly that I wouldn't be able to work a whole shift so I did my best to make sure the second dishwasher coming in (on a slow night) wouldn't be behind and I could leave. I accomplish this and tell the boss I have to go, and then he tells me it's not fair to leave one person by themselves washing dishes. He also said I shouldn't be worried about getting other people sick since he's been working almost every day for 40 years and “hasn't” gotten anyone sick. Then he went to my wife's work and talked to her about my not being at work as if to see if I've been lying about the matter (which I'm not, I'm back at the hospital while writing this, getting prescribed more meds so maybe I can finally feel better).

All of this is making me think it's not worth working at that place anymore. Am I overreacting?
