Antiwork

This feels illegal, but probably isn’t.

I work for a Fortune 500 company. I don’t have an office. They consider me a “remote” employee. But I don’t exactly work from home either. I teach safety classes in an area that covers 4 states. I travel all the time. They just notified me that I will no longer be paid for my first hour on the road. This is now deemed my “commute” time. The same applies to the end of the day. I won’t be paid for the last hour on the road on my way home. I usually drive 3-4 hours one way. That’s 10 hours a week of free labor. I’m pretty salty about it. Anyone have input on the legality of this policy?
