Me: “I am actively employed by (company), I am looking for an opportunity elsewhere however, is this a conflict of interest?”
“Yes, sorry, we would like to speak with you about a supervisor position but your present company does not want us to discuss this with you until you are not actively employed by them.”
LIKE WTF, you have an extremely large corp (that I work for) trying to monopolize employees that want to leave but can't? Wtf is this. I sure as hell can't quit just for an “opportunity” that I am not guaranteed to get.
