I have a job that I've been at for 4-5 months. It's ok, the pay is terrible, and it's in collections, which I detest. This is the boss's first time in management, he's young, so very inexperienced and immature.
However, I do have a lot of flexibility with my tasks, no one really watches me that closely. I don't have to interact face to face with customers, and I've hit my monthly goal 10 early the last two months.
I interviewed at another place, the salary is $3000 higher per year. No collections. I have a feeling I won't have as much unsupervised time, and that they might be a little more taskmaster-ish.
I informed my current job of my offer, and asked them if they could match the money. They took 24 hours to come back with not a match, but an increase of $2000 yearly, and another $2500 in 6 months.
I have to let them know today. I don't know what to do. Please help!
