For more context I show up everyday early with the exception of 2 separate days where I was 5 minutes late.
Started ride sharing for an alcoholic co-worker who likely has a DUI and I don't get up any earlier than I previously did but we still manage to show up on time as his pick-up relatively on the way.
It's asphalt work, hard and dirty work as it is. Small, cheap family owned company who neglects equipment and workers.
I'm 29, own everything outright including my residence so I don't have to work as hard as I do but it's satisfying and I enjoy some aspects of asphalt work.
My co-workers don't know that as they're all in debt or drink away pay cheques.
Already applying to other jobs but I just needed to vent and at least someone will know I'll get the last laugh as next week is apparently my “last chance”.
Most people in my generation hate dirty and hard work so I know they'll have a hard time replacing me as my position is high turnaround and I already do them a favour by ridesharing one of their rakerman.
Never been fired before but I really couldn't care less if they do so.
