I got off work an hour ago (2 am) and was just called to come back in at 6 am. I also have a 30-minute drive home. This means that I may have time for a small nap and then back to a 10-hour shift. This was completely legal for my employer to do, and there's nothing I can do about it. Why is there nothing to protect workers from this??
