I figured this would be the best place to ask because most of us here would get it.
Say for instance I get a Target order and the amount is high enough that a 20% tip would be like $120. Mostly due to like smaller items like vitamins that cost more and such.
The heaviest things are usually several half gallons of milk. My shoppers always do a pretty awesome job, and I want to show my appreciation.
Even if a tip doesn’t add up the the regular ‘perfect service!’ amount of 20% (which would have been about $120) I chose a tip of $60 but feel guilty because it was technically only 10 percent of the bill. The shopping trip took about an hour and a half.
What is the proper tipping etiquette when it comes to services like grocery shopping and hair, where the arbitrary 10-15-20 percent rule skews due to the higher cost of the service?
