sorry if this has been asked before – but I am dealing with something and where else to ask but here.
I got a slice of cake. the dude picked it from the glass shelf and put it in a box. and then asked me 15% tip or 18% tip.
he did the same to the lady in front of me – who ordered a lemon loaf or something.
I know people are divided with 'if you can't afford tip, don't go out' vs 'tipping is crazy'.
what is right response to someone when they ask tip – and I don't feel like tipping – because the service was non-existent.
