Today I hit send on the resignation email in my drafts

quit on the spot today after months of constant stress. The job was great with for the most part nice people and I was there 3 years. As nice as management were, they were completely out of their depth running a business. This meant constant chopping and changing of staff on and off my projects, staff spread so thin they couldn’t do the job properly, and then other staff stretched to cover the blunders caused by under resourcing. Everyday I felt like I was treading water frantically but getting no where, all while being told by management that everything is all good and nothing to stress about. I felt tired constantly and began neglecting my physical self care, health, and sleep.

After trying to explain my stress to my bosses, I was dismissed and told ‘everything is ok, don’t worry about it’ so I typed up my resignation, and hit send.

I feel so much better, in the 3 hrs since I’ve quit I’ve booked an overseas trip, cancelled my lease and bought a van. Yolo

I’m excited for the unknown
