Great timing too because I had just saved up for a trip to Las Vegas with my girlfriend, we leave this Sunday. I always felt like my boss did not like me or respect me. Three times within the past year my mother was rushed to the hospital and two out of three times my boss refused to let me take time off to see her, and the last time I was only able to go because my boss wasn't even at work. My income paid the rent and other bills so I didn't even try to fight it, just felt like a pos all day at work. I'm finally able to quit this job now, and my mother is more independent.
Anyway I'm excited to come back from Vegas and find a new job in a field I actually care somewhat about, and to find a boss who doesn't treat me like a piece of garbage, unworthy of even visiting her mom in the hospital.
Also side note but is anyone here a bartender? I'm surprised it's something I've become interested in. Definitely looking into that when we return.
