I recently left my employer about a week ago. Idk how many people are in my position but I was in sales for health insurance, I am also in my mid 20s. With lack of preparation to the employees, switching schedules from one day to another, long hours during aep(10+hrs for 7weeks) We reached new metrics this year made more money than the last and what we get in return is two days off unpaid lol If you want to get paid use YOUR PTO. My manager to end a preshift said “Everyone is replaceable” and that just rubbed me entirely the wrong way. Now I know how to do my job I was in T1 for all my time selling so I know it wasn’t personally directed at me but still. I was getting paid ok 20hr, personally my highest paying job but nonetheless I never picked up a call after that again. You are important and someone will value your time and effort. With no roadmap still felt like the right decision. Find your routine and do what makes you happy. Fuck the rat race fuck other peoples dreams Fuck this outdated manipulative abusive system. Your happiness is second to none.
Time is irreplaceable and I refuse to waste it on things/people who do not have the best interest in You. The bills don’t stop but I’ll figure it out and you will too.
