So I’ll try to keep it short, I got a new job offer making over 20k a year more than what I currently make. Sounds great right? Here’s the kicker, it’s overnight, 12 hours, in a REALLY sketchy area. Think of whatever city you live in that part of town you would never go alone at night, that’s where it is located. The other thing my wife has no family or friends where we live as we just moved to a new state a few years ago and she has been so busy with her job that she hasn’t had time to socialize. If I take this job, I can cover all the bills on my own, and her money can be used to save. But I’m afraid not seeing each other for days on end and her being alone out here would take a toll on our relationship. On top of that, I would hate to leave her home alone at night. I can look for another job probably find it sooner or later, but this is here, the life changing money is here. What would you do? My mom said take it, dad said no way. So now I reach out to complete strangers on Reddit haha. Thoughts ?
