Unsubstantiated ”shortage of labour” claims constitute spreading of disinformation and the perpetrators should be prosecuted

Any company or politician publicly claiming that there is staff shortage and failing to provide facts and evidence should be prosecuted for consciously spreading disinformation. This new law should be applied worldwide in all of the democratic countries who are obliged to respect the democratic principle of informed citizenry. Everytime time a person in power makes a public claim about staff shortage it is the responsibility of the media is to question those claims. Media is the key culprit in allowing these lies to be spread to the public. Shortage of staff lies are mostly used regardless of the country in question to justify the import of cheap immigrant labour, who will be exploited in their new country. Workers need protection and to achieve that goal one crucial element is accountability in the court of law by those who spread conscious lies about the labour market.
