r/antiwork is proud to present an AMA with disability consultant Kate Broeking of VocaWell! Do you or a friend or loved one have any disability or ADA-related accommodation issues at work? Do you find the prospect of navigating the bureaucracy daunting? Are you struggling to find resources to help you survive in the workplace? This Friday, come join us for an AMA that will cover all these issues and more with an experienced advocate. Who is Kate Broeking, you ask? In her own words:
I'm Kate Broeking and I have over a decade of experience in the disability employment field, mainly in the corporate space. I've worked with corporate Disability Accommodation and Leave teams for large tech companies, specializing in supporting employees with mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, PTSD, etc) and neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, dyslexia etc.). I created Work Wellness Coaching programs (aka job coaching) to provide 1:1 coaching to employees who want help managing some of the unique challenges that arise from working in a high-pressure corporate environment while managing this type of diagnosis – and it's now offered at some of the largest companies in the world.
I left the corporate world for my own mental health and well-being, and now I have my own company, VocaWell, where I give employees information and coaching focused entirely on their individual needs and priorities.
